Portal Soundtrack Free Download

The Portal Chronicles Soundtrack Single!

About a year ago, when Imogen Rose, author of the cult bestselling series, the Portal Chronicles, was surfing YouTube she stumbled upon a song, “If We Fall” by SHE SAID SAVE ME, and instantly fell in love with both the lyrics and the male vocal. She put the song on her writing playlist and looked up the Toronto-based band on Facebook… and liked their page. A while later, Imogen received a PM from Joe Vercillo, saying that if her books were ever adapted for film or TV she should feel free to use his music. She had no idea who he was, but looked him up. Imagine her fan girl sqee moment when she discovered that he was the lead vocalist for SHE SAID SAVE ME! Imogen and Joe have been Facebook friends ever since.

The Portal Chronicles starts off with a serendipitous meeting in a London pub, which propels the lives of the characters into a time warp of what-ifs. During the prologue, which is the key to the story, Rupert is humming a song in that London pub where Olivia and he seal their fate. Imogen Rose always wondered what he was singing. Until late one night, when she closed her eyes and “heard” it. Imogen wrote the lyrics and SHE SAID SAVE ME put it to music. What better day than Valentine’s Day to release this song that defines the romance that is PORTAL?

Joe Vercillo - vocals, guitar

Randy Lee - violin

Mike Olsen - cello

Ryan Granville-Martin - producer, engineer, arranger

Tonight you wished upon our star
I had this feeling
Releasing dreams into the dark
Starlight revealing
A shooting star of promises
No delusions
Fades into the lights below
A spark of illusion

It’s fantasy, unwritten destiny
A portal to a secret wish
Is this real, or is this just a midsummer night dream’s what-if

Is this a dream of you and me
Is this a dream of you and me
Is this a dream of you and me

What if you’re not real, just hallucination?
An imaginary fixation
What if we escape to a new dimension?
Through a time warp in a broken constellation

It’s fantasy, unwritten destiny
A portal to a secret wish
Is this real, or is this just a midsummer night dream’s what-if

Is this a dream of you and me
Is this a dream of you and me
Is this a dream of you and me

Jase Tour, Excerpt & Giveaway!

Jase by M.J. Fields
(Men of Steel #1)
Publication date: July 13th 2013
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance

I sat in my room at our family’s tattoo parlor, Forever Steel staring at the phone. I hadn’t stopped looking at the picture of this crazy, quirky, insanely beautiful blonde haired blue eyed siren that invaded the Jersey Shore a month ago.

Carly Smythe was not my type at all. She was a twenty year old student at Stanford University in California, smart as hell, and funny. The shit kicker was she was so awkwardly unaware of what any man with pulse could see, and that was that she was a damn heartbreaker with a body that made me hard the very first time I saw her.

She made me crazy, she snuck out to see me, and then avoided any sexual advances I made on her, until I finally kissed her, and I didn’t wait for an invitation either: I took those pouty little lips and made them mine.

Carly was also an avid reader of those books, you know “Mommy Porn.” So my game had to be stepped up. Who the hell am I kidding? She could see through my game immediately, and it didn’t have the same effect it did on every other girl I hooked up with. And she didn’t go running for the hills, either. I fell hard… and fast.

Abe (her cousin) knew all the shit that had gone down in my life for the past five and a half years and in order to make this work, which I wanted it to… I needed to set the record straight, put it all on the line, give her the 411, and let her decide if after everything, she still wanted to give it up to a guy like me. A tattooed, pierced, f-up, with a past that was sure to send any girl into a tail spin. She was not any girl, she was…different.

I am very new self published writer, and had no clue what I was getting into, still don’t—but I like it!

My imagination became apparent at age three. Sigma was my very first (imaginary) boyfriend. He lived about fifteen miles from my family’s farm. I took him chicken noodle soup every night on one of our snowmobiles, regardless of the season. Apparently he was very ill and “Thank God” I was able to care for him.

At eight my love for writing blossomed. My cousins and I (of course I was the president) wrote a newsletter and sold it to our family members.

Years later I decided to put it back into print to entertain my cousin on an aircraft carrier on 9/11 and very far away from home during a scary time for our country, (protecting our butts).

Fast forward to 2012. I read 50 shades and thought, I wanna do that!

I have two complete series The Love Series, and Wrapped and two new series Burning Souls and Men of Steel. Thirteen books in sixteen months. CrAzY and wonderful.

I love love! (I would love to reference a Pink song here but I will save my inappropriateness for my books.

I enjoy watching people grow and change with self realization and moments of clarity that sneak up behind you and smack you in the head. I love people and have always been able to see both sides of a story. Each person that comes into our life leaves us with something it is what we choose to do with it that helps us grow.

I live in central New York in the middle of nowhere and am surrounded by family and friend. I ran a small business out of my home and have recently closed my door to pursue this dream full time. I spend time writing and doing the typical Mommy things. Our house is full of pets, friends, and noise ninety percent of the time. I would have it no other way.

I love people, music, laughter, hugs, books, and talking about books.

I’m very excited to share that I have recently signed and am now represented by with Marissa Corvisiero.

Guest Post

What do You Dream About?

In your secret heart of hearts, what do you wish would happen? Is it something you ever talk about, or does it stay hidden away for fear if the world looked too closely, they’d throw sand on your rainbow?
Do you have friends, or mostly acquaintances? How can you tell the difference? That’s easy. Friends respect confidences. They’re there for you no matter what. They don’t preach and they don’t judge. They support your rainbows and your dreams. Most of us are heavy on acquaintances and shy of real friends.
Back to my original question. Do you turn your dreams into goals, or are you convinced they’re simply too farfetched to ever leave the dream realm? If that’s true, have you asked yourself why? Not much is truly beyond our reach. The main thing standing in the way is us. Yup. You heard me.
Once upon a time, they taught problem solving skills in school. Most of my college education was an exercise in problem solving. Even beyond an actual problem, my professors—the good ones, anyway—taught flexibility. If the first attempt to address something doesn’t work, it’s actually a learning experience, not a failure. It gives a golden opportunity to assess just why things didn’t work so we can craft a better solution.
I’m absolutely convinced all problems can be broken into components and the components addressed individually. It’s how I’ve taught myself things I really had very little aptitude for, like flying, for example. People need spatial ability to fly. That’s the skill of judging three-dimensional space. Mine is so non-existent even topographic map reading is a struggle. It took me twice as long as it would have taken anyone else, but I did manage to get a private pilot’s license a number of years ago.
Another issue is I really do not like it when someone tells me I can’t do something. It hurts my feelings and kicks up a stubborn streak and an, “I’ll show you,” attitude that’s gotten me into hot water a time or two.
How about you? What do you struggle with? If something is hard, does it make you try harder or give up? This is a pretty anonymous forum, I’d love to know what you think.

Release Date:
April 1, 2014

“Do you have any regrets, Vivienne?” he asked without turning, surprising the hell out of me. I expected billowing rage from my prodding. Instead, he gave me reflection.

“Besides not killing you before escaping?”

“You would have tried, мое сокровище…”

“I would have succeeded,” I replied, lifting my own glass of wine, pulling a mouthful of the dark red liquid.

“Confidence is one thing you don’t lack,” Aedan replied, turning to give me a smile. “And that is something your mother gave to you.”

“My mother gave me a lot of things--life, happiness, strength, a trunk full of lies. She also gave me a life of being tied to a ruthless prick; one that I am unfortunately being forced to be civil to. But I swear to the Angels, if you continue to speak of her…”

“Your name suits you, you know. She picked perfectly, Vivienne.”

Although he irritated me, pushed me to near fury at almost every turn, when Aedan spoke simple words such as my name or even my mother’s, it sounded like verbal art. They rolled off of his tongue with a graceful beauty that, if I hadn't completely loathed him, would be relaxing to listen to all day. But his smooth voice and relaxing accent couldn't wash away the fact that he was a liar, manipulator, and most importantly a murderer.

“Hope, Faith, Serenity, and Joy sure as fuck wouldn't have worked. I’m all out of all those things, they were leached from my bones at birth,” I replied, my words ending on a sigh.

It was Aedan’s turn to laugh--a real, full laugh. His face lit up, creases forming around his eyes as it continued, softening his edges a little further.

“You are alive, Vivienne. That’s what your name means, you know--alive? You are so full of life. And you do not give anything the right to take it from you. I admire that about you,” he said, coming closer, pulling out the chair next to me, sitting down, staring across the room. “One of the many things.”

Discover the heartbreaking betrayals, fascinating magic and fated love of Cornerstone.

Strong arms scooped her up off of the cold ground. The warmth of his body radiated through her. She'd been lying on the ground for so long that the wet had infiltrated every layer of her clothing. She was so cold, and he was so warm. Emariya snuggled in against him without thinking about it, and then opened her eyes.

Looking down at her worriedly were the purest gray eyes she had ever seen. If someone had told her they were made of the snow and stone that surrounded them, she would have believed them. Then he smiled at her. Her breath caught in her chest.

His dark hair curled wickedly every which way, despite his attempts to brush it back. She couldn't help thinking that he could have been carved out of rock. He had high cheekbones and an angled chin, which added to the carven look. Several days’ worth of stubble decorated his jawline, but instead of making him look unkempt it only punctuated his deeply handsome dark looks.

“Are you all right, my Lady?” His voice was tense, worried, but strangely lyrical. She smiled reassuringly at him. She was instantly rewarded with his returned smile.

She had thought for sure she heard Garith's voice, but she didn't see him. “Garith?” she inquired, trying to lift her head to look around for him. The man's smile dimmed, although it was no less captivating. He turned her so she could see the other side of the camp. She saw Garith off to the side, working to put out the fire. This handsome, kind stranger must have helped Garith rescue her.

“Who?” she managed to croak out. Her throat was raw and the words ached as they passed through her dry lips. What had happened? She'd been running for Raina when…she remembered then. She'd gotten the oil of the Hellebore on her when Leil touched her. She shuddered involuntarily, remembering the things the hypnotic herb had made her envision while she was under its spell. But that didn't matter anymore.

The smile was back, although it was more guarded now. “Allow me to introduce myself, my Lady. My name is Torian Ahlen.”

In Pursuit Blitz & Excerpt!

Publication date: February 11th 2014

Eddie and Harris must learn to conquer their internal struggles. But as they navigate their new love, outside forces fight to drive them apart.

Will be found here come release day:

A buzzing in my purse makes me realize that my phone has been demanding my attention for the past few minutes. I’m not sure how long. Fifteen missed calls from Harris, two from Claire and a bevy of text messages. He’s calling right now.

“Hello,” I whisper into the phone.

“Where are you? Please, I won’t... Just, please, tell me where you are so I can come pick you up.” He sounds frantic. In the background a horn angrily blasts and he yells, “Shut the f**k up!”

“I didn’t say anything,” I stammer.

“No, the a**hole behind me. Where are you, Edith? I’ll come get you.”
“Oak Street beach.”

“F**k!” he roars, causing me to start. “Do you have any idea how dangerous it is out there? Do you see anyone around you?”

“No. I’m all by myself,” I whisper.

“Stay put. I’ll be there in two minutes.”

The phone clicks and he’s gone. I cover my wet face with my hands and close my eyes to try and block out the whirlwind of emotions swirling around me like a violent tornado. I want to go home. Not just the home a few blocks away, but the safety of my room in Arlington.

I hear the pounding of sand, but I keep my eyes closed. Rough hands yank me into his arms, and he presses his face into the crook of my neck. Put side by side, his hands span the width of my back and curl around my sides. He rocks us back and forth.

“You’re safe, you’re safe,” he whispers over and over. It’s unclear if he is talking to me or to himself. We sit like that for a while, I don’t know how long, until he finally loosens his hold, and presses his forehead into mine gently.

“I’m sorry I ran,” I say softly.

“Of course you did, I attacked you like an animal. I was out of line.” We continue breathing in each others' air as the breeze whispers around us. He bunches me to him tightly, my safe haven.

“You’re not angry?” I ask timidly.

His eyes are closed when he responds, “Hell yes, I’m angry.”

I inhale deeply, waiting for what’s next.

“Not at you, Edith, only at me.”

A slow exhale lets out the breath I’m holding and I sag down in relief.

“That was unforgivable of me, treating someone so inexperienced that way.”

“Inexperienced?” I study his furrowed brow, his eyes still closed.

“You’re a virgin,” he says the word with awe, like I’m an undiscovered species.

I shrug out of his embrace, jumping up to my feet. “Virgin!” I squawk. “I’m not!”

Okay, having sex with two people doesn’t make me an all knowing sex goddess, but it’s been a few years since I lost that innocence.

For my #10 fav romantic movie, I am hard-pressed to choose only one, but I am going to pick Always (1989) with Holly Hunter, Richard Dreyfuss and Brad Johnson.

With the help of her friend John Goodman and the ghost of her lost love, she meets a wonderful man who adores her. I love the line she says about him. "He's too beautiful. My #10 pick-up line is from Say Anything   It's not really a pick-up, but more of a get back together after a short break up line.  Loydd says,  "One question: are you here 'cause you need someone, or 'cause you need me?... Forget it, I don't care." and he kisses her.

But Devon is on the hunt, and Cam is running out of places to hide.

The basement had a small window, the glass crusted with years of rainstorms and wind. After a few heartbeats, Cam’s eyes adjusted and his jaw fell open.
Bags of onions, apples, turnips, and potatoes hung from the rafters. Metal shelves hugged the cement walls, cans of everything from olives to ravioli stacked in neat rows.
“Whoa,” Cam exhaled and ran his hand over a bag of onions. “Mama Lucy, you’ve been a bad girl.” He tsked and shook his head. “No wonder you have arm flab. You’ve been holding out on us.” He picked up an old oat sack that had been dropped on the floor and filled it with apples and potatoes and cans of beans. “And here I thought the only things I would find were moldy oats and your oversized underwear.” He grabbed an apple and took a bite, a drop of juice running down his chin.
“That’s more than just a snack. Going somewhere?” Tara melted out of the shadows between two of the wire shelving units.
“What are you doing down here?” Cam hugged the bag to his chest and stepped back, bumping his ankle into the bottom stair.
Tara chuckled. “Me? What are you doing down here? If Mama Lucy caught you stealing her potatoes, she’d wring your neck like you were one of the chickens.”
Cam swallowed his bite of apple. “You’re the one who’s been stealing.”
            She shrugged. “Maybe.”
“Why?” Cam studied her, the marked half of her face hidden in the shadows, her eyes wide and luminous in the half-light.
“Why not? Mama Lucy certainly doesn’t need it. She has more than just arm flab, and this stuff rots down here while we go hungry.”
“She feeds you and your brother more than she feeds the rest of us.”
Tara held up an apple and a can of pineapple. “You think this is for me, don’t you?”
Cam stared at her. You steal food and Mama Lucy thinks it’s me. If it weren’t for you and your mutant brother messing things up, I would be invisible. But he didn’t say anything as he held his eyes steady with hers.
She shrugged. “Figures you would think that.”
So this is where she got the apple for Peter? He wanted to ask her about the night before, but he had made a pinky promise. “If you don’t eat the food, what do you do with it?”
“Nothing, right?” She reminded Cam of his promise by the pavilion as she stepped out of the shelves and stood in front of him. “Let’s make that our motto. Nothing.”
“Okay,” he nodded. “That goes for both of us, right? You’re doing nothing and I’m doing nothing? We were never here?”
            She nodded. “Nothing.”
It was harder to think with her standing so close. Beautiful. “Well,” he shrugged and swallowed. “Nice talking to you.”
“Nice talking to you?” She broke into a low laugh. “Was that supposed to be a conversation?”
Suddenly, Cam felt awkward. “Well, it was kind of a conversation, you know, like two humans talking to each other.”
Her eyes narrowed. “Like humans?” She flipped her braid behind her shoulder, “Like I’m not human because I’m a mutant?”
“No,” Cam shook his head. “That’s not what I was saying.”
She looked up as the floor above them groaned, “Mama Lucy’s awake. Better get out of here before she catches you.” Then she cut her finger across her throat. “Like a chicken, and that’s mine,” she grabbed the bag out of Cam’s hands.
He watched her go up the stairs. Oh, great, the first time I actually talk to her and I’ve pissed her off. Maybe she’ll be glad when I’m gone.
